My experience is that some technical people tend to get overexcited about technical terms, not realizing that their understanding of a problem, situation or product is not the same of the audience they are supposed to speak to. The same happens in other contexts, e.g. marketing guys sticking to slogans that are very hard to understand for someone who doesn&#039;t know their product thoroughly. Professional bias IS a problem, from journalism to engineering. It&#039;s a thin line one must be really careful to cross if the goal is being as clear as possible with your potential end users. </description>

Every context has its terminology: you don&#039;t expect your doctor to diagnose a &quot;little bit of headache&quot; but a &quot;migraine with strong photophobia&quot;;

Since the internet - and the whole IT world - was created by and maintained by engineers, it would be at least appropriate to learn expressing yourself properly and be grateful when you learn something new.
It&#039;s not right to talk windows, tasks and drivers when talking about...a restaurant maybe?
But here, in geekland, is always cool. Just don&#039;t overdo it, maybe. :)
